Loops originally part of the Virtual Boomerang project have now been embedded within the page for the corresponding song. They require Flash Player (version 4 or greater). If you have a loop you would like to contribute, contact Emil with your seamless loop for consideration. All sampled loops are from recordings that were made in compliance with Phish's taping policy.

If you're new to the Virtual Boomerang, the idea is to give you an opportunity to practice basic improvisation over pre-recorded chord sequences (in this case, specifically sequences from songs by Phish), saving you the trouble of either finding someone willing to sit and strum repetitive progressions for you for hours, or having to rewind a section of a recording over and over again. Obviously, this is just a tool - real improvisation requires a second person. But if you want to try out a few new licks, this is a good place to start.

All loops can be found at the bottom of the pages linked to below. The transcription to most of these songs is available in the upper section of the corresponding page. Feel free to post tips and tricks on the discussion page for any of the below pages.
